Swimming has always been fun, but at the same time dangerous. This last year, largely due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been especially dangerous. Many states, including Texas, Florida, California, Michigan, & Ohio are reporting increases in child drownings. That’s why Life Saver Survival Swim School has been stressing to parents that kids swim lessons are vitally important!
The leading cause for children ages 1 – 4 to accidentally die still remains to be drowning, even during this pandemic. And swimming still remains the #2 accidental reason for children ages 5 – 13 to have an accidental death. Children are spending more time at home due to the pandemic. That means they are spending more time in their home swimming pools.
The Pandemic Has Led to More Drownings and Has Made Kids Swim Lessons More Important!
Swim Lessons reduce the chances of accidental drowning by 88%. That’s why we are a firm supporter of the United States Swim School Association. This group is a non-profit organization that helps the swim instruction industry maintain high ethical and professional standards. They help make our industry better.
The CDC claims there is no evidence that Covid-19 can spread in a properly maintained pool. Swim schools have the ability to maintain a safe environment as outlined by public health requirements. Thus, it makes good sense for parents to encourage their children to attend swim school.

Life Saver Survival Swim School – Trying to Make a Difference
Our swim school has been working for years to help teach young children how to swim and survive should they ever find themselves in an unwanted aquatic situation. We try to show them that swimming can be fun and athletic.
These last nine months have been a difficult time. Times are still hard, but I think we can all start seeing an end to it.
We encourage you to send your young children to a swim school at an early age. We have taught children that are only six months old to survive in water. Our classes for 2021 are filling up. If you have children that you would like to enroll, please call Bonnie, the owner of Life Saver Survival Swim School at (832) 367-3008. Or, you can enroll them online by going HERE.
